    There is a way to recover deleted contacts from Galaxy Nexus
    Lost contacts, photos, text messages, video on your phone, don’t worry, you can get them back, but you would better not use the Galaxy Nexus to take new data, in order to avoid the deleted data overwritten and go forever.
    There is a way to get them back.     Now, let’s discuss to recover deleted contacts on Galaxy Nexus step by step.
    Step 1. Download & Install the FoneLab
    After install the FoneLab for Android, then run it on your computer, you'll see its main window below.

    Go to the left "Android Data Recover" - Recover data from your phone. Select Recover Android Data, and then connect your Samsung Galaxy Nexus to PC.

    Step 2. Enable USB debugging

    Step 3. Select the type of files and scan mode
    In the latest version, Android Data Recovery empowers you to seletively choose which type of files you want to recover. You can choose "Contacts", "Messaging", "Gallery" or "Videos" etc.

    Step 4: Root the Galaxy Nexus Phone to get permission for deeply scanning deleted files (important!)
    At this point, you'd better to root your Galaxy Nexus to get full access to the data on the device. Click the "Advanced Root" button and follow the step to root your phone, Generally, KingoRoot/Pingpongroot/Towelroot as the recommendation by default. Download it and install on the computer or Galaxy Nexus and let it root your phone. This should finish in a fast manner.

    Once rooted successfully, the Android Data Recovery will start deeply scanning your device. It will take about 15-20 minutes.

    Step 5. Preview and recover deleted contacts on Galaxy Nexus
    When the scan compeleted, Select the "Contacts" tab, Then you can certainly preview and check out the lost contacts one by one. Select them that you wish to retrieve, and then click on the recover tab. You deleted files will be back where you want them to be.
